Wax and Petrolatum Hydrogenation Technology
Process Dynamics' approach to wax and petrolatum hydrogenation provides a cost effective way to produce food grade or pharmaceutical grade oil and wax products
Typically, these products are manufactured by hydrogenation of paraffinic mineral oils and waxes at severe processing conditions to remove impurities. Our approach is to replace the typical two stage hydrogenation followed by filtration with a single step involving only hydrogenation. Process Dynamics' innovative approach to the hydrogenation step allows this to be accomplished for approximately 10-20% of the cost of a conventional process.

Solvent Based Dewaxing/Deoiling Technology
Process Dynamics' solvent based dewaxing/deoiling technology uses an equilibrium based procedure, based on accurate thermodynamic models, rather than the traditional rate based crystallization method.
The procedure involves aromatic extraction, followed by the dewaxing/deoiling step which is accomplished through sequential addition of solvent and cosolvent, allowing for higher filtration temperatures, higher filtration rates, and the use of a more powerful cosolvent.
